Background

XenonMKV is developed by one guy (me, Jake Billo) in my spare time. (Admittedly, this is time I probably should be using to do something more productive.) I wrote the utility because I wasn’t satisfied with the existing conversion tools available, and figured I’d make the application available to people who were experiencing the same problems.

I wrote the utility (and continue to maintain it) out of convenience for myself and to help out other users. If you really like XenonMKV and want to express your gratitude, the best thing you can do is email (jake at jakebillo dot com) or post on the support forums and let me know how you’re finding it useful. I read all my email constantly - one of the curses of being addicted to a CrackBerry - and it’s really awesome to get messages from people all over the place.

Donate

Having said that, I’ve received at least two suggestions that I should add a donation button to the site, and with that in mind, I’m making that option available. Donations aren’t something that I need nor necessarily encourage - this option never would have appeared had people not suggested it. First, read my disclaimer and details though.

XenonMKV (as per its name) is a utility that functions on MKV container files. It makes no distinction to where these files are from: it merely provides the software framework to convert H.264 video and attached audio into a different container. I don’t condone breaking laws. As such, if you donate, you’re donating because you like the program - and NOT because it enables you to infringe copyright or anything similar. If you don’t agree with this, stop, and toss me an “thanks” email instead.

Secondly: XenonMKV uses the hard work of a number of existing open source projects. These people, in all honesty, are much more worthy than myself. Without their tools, video editing and playback would be significantly more challenging. Please consider donating to these projects instead of me:
