Hi all i downloaded a 1080p movie and converted it with Xenon and watched about 20 mins of it and now a message has come up saying.

Cant play this content because it may not be supported. for more info, go to www.xbox.com/support

Status code: 69-8007007a.

any ideas? cheers

Have to make a guess, since there are SO many variables, but it's probably the bitrate of the video encode.  Since it's a 1080p video, I'd assume the original encoder used a very high bitrate, but the Xbox can only decode an H264 bitrate less than 10Mbps, so if somewhere in the encode, say a high action scene such as an explosion, the bitrate spiked momentarily due to the complexity of the scene and the Xbox simply couldn't take the bitrate and crapped out.

If you know approximately where the video failed on the Xbox, and still have the source MKV file, view the file on your PC at the point where the Xbox through the code and see if the particular scene in the encode gets complex, as in, high motion.

I see you didn't take my earlier advice to avoid 1080p uploads and concentrate on 720p videos.  You'll have MUCH more successful conversions.  You're asking for conversion heartbreak and wasted downloads.

The problem is the Xbox being very finicky with what it plays, not the conversions from MKV to MP4.

Hi RadioHowie, yer your right it does happen on a explosion scene. must be to much for the xbox to handle. i am bow sticking with 720 and have had no problems Smiley thanks mate
